TTGPA hosted its 2nd Annual Professional Services Day on Saturday, May 25th 2013 in collaboration with the Diego Martin Regional Corporation. The event was held in the Central Diego Martin Community Centre, #1 Wendy Fitzwilliam Boulevard in Diamond Vale.
The project on the whole is very important to the organization as it:
- Creates Public Awareness of our Professionals in Society
- Fulfils TTGPA’s Corporate Society Responsibility
- Is an opportunity to foster relationships with the Communities
The success of the project strongly relied on our membership’s willingness to participate in the first instance by giving ‘freely’ of their service on the day and in the second to volunteer their time in the planning of the event. The event not only offered “free” professional services to residents of the area but will also featured fun events and games. The activities catered to children as well as adults and food and drink was on sale as well to complete the total package.
The centrepiece of the event was the Medical Clinic which was organized with the assistance of the Health Policy, Research and Planning Department of the NWRHA and TTGPA’s Medical Professionals, both doctors and registered nurses. More than 120 persons benefitted from these services on the day.
TTGPA members also made themselves available to provide Professional Advice to the public.
The Diego Martin Regional Corporation was represented by Councillor Anne Letren as the Chairman was out of the country on the day. Mr. Phillip Murray, also known in the Entertainment Industry as “Black Sage” and another Councillor also graciously assisted in the day’s events on behalf of the Corporation.
Member of Parliament for the area Dr. Amery Browne also took the time to visit and witness the service to his constituents.
